Families
Our best signing: the families.
We look for families ready to commit to three evenings a week, all year.

Three evenings a week
Practice in Yuma, Tuesday to Thursday evenings.
Game days
Games in local leagues in Yuma and San Luis, with the schedule shared well ahead.
From the sideline
Cheer for effort, for both teams, and let the coaches coach.
Within reach
We’re a nonprofit, backed by fundraisers and sponsors.
Safe to play.
No heading, ever
Every player in the club is ten or younger, so nobody heads the ball, in games or at practice.
Water, always
Water is never withheld, and running is never used as a punishment.
Yuma heat and storms
Coaches check the heat at the field and change, move or call off practice when it’s too hot. At the first thunder or lightning, everyone leaves the field.
Photos with permission
The girls’ photos on this site are posted with their families’ permission, and no player is ever named.
Good questions.
Does she need experience?
No. Beginners and girls who already play are both welcome. She starts at her own level.
How old does she need to be?
Four to ten this season (U5 to U10). Teams go by school year, August to July, and the Teams page has the dates.
What will she do at practice?
Lots of touches on the ball, small games like rondos, and learning to look before the ball arrives.
Where and when do you practice?
In Yuma, Tuesday to Thursday evenings. You get the field and the times on the call.
What does it cost?
We go through every cost on the call, before you commit to anything. We’re a nonprofit, so fundraisers and sponsors help keep fees down.
Is it all year?
Yes. We practice and play all year.
Can I ask something first?
Of course. Write to hola@yumaunited.com, or request a call and ask us then.
Her first touch starts here.
Two short steps, about a minute. Someone from the club calls you back, in English or Spanish.
